Business consulting that actually changes the numbers

Most consulting ends with a slide deck. Ours ends with a different P&L. We work inside your operations for 8 to 16 weeks, fix what is broken, and leave you with systems your own team can run.

Four phases, no mystery

01

Diagnostic week

We spend five days inside your business. We interview staff, read the accounts, map your processes and identify the three or four constraints that actually limit growth. You receive a written brief, not a generic template.

02

Priority map

Together we rank every opportunity by effort and payoff. Some fixes take a phone call. Others need capital. We build a 90-day plan with weekly milestones so nothing drifts into "we should get round to that."

03

Embedded execution

A senior consultant joins your leadership rhythm for the duration of the engagement. Weekly stand-ups, fortnightly board updates, monthly financial reviews. We sit in the room when decisions get made.

04

Handover and audit

Before we leave, we document every change, train the people who will maintain it, and schedule a 60-day follow-up call. If something slips, we come back for a day at no extra charge.

What we do

We focus on mid-market companies turning over £2m to £40m. Below are the five areas where we spend most of our time.

Revenue growth strategy

Pricing architecture, channel mix, sales process redesign. We rebuilt the pricing model for a £12m distributor and added £1.4m in annual gross profit within seven months.

Operational efficiency

Warehouse layout, shift scheduling, procurement cycles, quality control loops. We reduced order-to-dispatch time by 38% for a consumer goods firm running two warehouses in the Midlands.

Financial restructuring

Cash-flow modelling, debt renegotiation, cost-base reduction. When a construction services company hit a covenant breach, we restructured their facility in four weeks and avoided administration.

Market entry and expansion

Competitor mapping, regulatory scoping, pilot-market selection. We helped a SaaS company enter the German market with a localised go-to-market plan that landed 22 paying accounts in the first quarter.

Leadership and governance

Board composition, management reporting, succession planning. Owner-managed businesses often outgrow their original structure. We help founders build the leadership layer they need without losing the culture they value.

Questions we hear often

Fees depend on scope and duration. A focused four-week diagnostic costs between £8,000 and £14,000. A full 12-to-16-week embedded engagement ranges from £30,000 to £65,000. We quote a fixed fee after the diagnostic week so there are no surprises.
Rarely. Our methods suit companies with at least two years of trading history and enough revenue to fund the changes we recommend. Pre-revenue startups usually need a different kind of help, and we are honest about that.
No. We work alongside your professional advisers. If we spot gaps in the advice you are receiving, we will tell you, but we do not provide audit, tax or legal services ourselves.
Manufacturing, distribution, professional services, technology and construction account for about 80% of our work. We have also completed projects in hospitality and healthcare. The common thread is complexity: if your business has moving parts that interact in non-obvious ways, we can usually help.
The diagnostic week is always on-site. After that, we blend in-person days with remote work depending on what the project needs. Most clients see us face-to-face two or three days per week during the execution phase.
We agree measurable targets at the start. If we fall materially short for reasons within our control, we continue working at our cost until those targets are met or we have exhausted every reasonable avenue. That clause is in the engagement letter.

A 30-minute call costs nothing and usually tells both sides whether there is a fit.
